Service Description

Discover Arashiyama, one of the most beautiful nature and temple districts of Kyoto. We walk through the famous bamboo grove, visit the UNESCO-protected Tenryū-ji, and enjoy the view at the iconic Togetsukyō Bridge, which has been one of the region’s landmarks for centuries. Upon request, the tour can be extended with a visit to the monkey park (Iwatayama Monkey Park). After a short climb, you will be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view over Kyoto and experience wild Japanese macaques up close. Along the way, you will gain interesting insights into Zen Buddhism, the history of Arashiyama, and everyday life in Japan. This tour combines nature, culture, and special experiences in a harmonious way. Along the way, you will experience the spiritual significance of this unique Shinto shrine, dedicated to the deity Inari, and learn more about the symbolism of the famous torii gates that line the path. Thanks to the alternative route, you can enjoy the special atmosphere of this place in a much quieter environment – photo opportunities with the iconic torii gates without large tourist crowds are guaranteed. This tour is ideal for guests who want to experience Fushimi Inari beyond the well-known postcard motifs and dive deeper into Kyoto’s spiritual landscape. The ascent to the summit of Mount Inari takes approx. 1 hour. In the last 15 minutes, the path becomes steeper. A good basic level of fitness, sturdy footwear, and sure footing are recommended. The route is well developed and mostly runs along shaded forest paths.
